Charity Shop Challenge Winner!
Thanks to everyone that took part in the Croydon Fashion Festival Charity Shop Challenge. Entrants had to create an eye catching window design and dress the shop front using only products sourced inside the store. The public have been voting for their favourite all week and we can now announce the winner as:
Sam Rowe with his Window Design for Cancer Research Purley.
Sam will receive a two week work placement with House of Fraser's Visual Merchandising department and an IPod from VR Software. The Mockshop from vrSoftware is the world’s leading visual merchandising software for the fashion industry, and a proud sponsor of the Croydon Charity Shop Challenge.
Fashionable folk hit the pause button to launch Croydon Fashion Festival
Croydon Fashion Festival got started today (23rd April) as locals came together in the name of fashion for a ‘flashmob’ event.
To celebrate the return of the popular free series of events, organisers Croydon Town Centre BID used social networking media to invite Croydonians to come down to the town centre and ‘strike a pose’ together.
At midday in North End, Croydon these fashionable folks gathered en masse to pause for 2 minutes in a pose, creating a “real life” frozen photograph.
The group then dispersed seamlessly from the area, having made living art all in the name of the Croydon Fashion Festival.
Croydon Fashion Festival is a free series of events which will run over the weekend at various locations across the London Borough of Croydon.
